¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español 2! Welcome to Spanish 2! In this two-semester course, students will continue to build their Spanish language skills of speaking, writing, listening and reading. Spanish 2 takes students on a cultural adventure and strengthens their foundations in Spanish communication, students learn to communicate comfortably at an intermediate level with Spanish-speaking people in a variety of settings: a store, a bank, an airport, a hotel, a doctor’s office, an auto shop, and on the mission field. Grammar, pronunciation, writing, listening, verb tenses, and moods are emphasized in a variety of exercises and Spanish dialogues. This class will offer regular opportunities for practice and application as well as opportunities to use the language in conversation and in written responses to biblical worldview shaping themes. The lessons are grouped into the following sections: The Inquiring Mind, Avoiding the Question, Making Assumptions, Statistical Fallacies, and Propaganda. At the end of the class, we will play The Fallacy Detective Game to put into practice what we have learned. This is a semester class. The required book is The Fallacy Detective.
