English 9

The objective of this class is to prepare your student in the fundamentals of reading, comprehension and writing.  Our curriculum will be reading multiple literatures that are Christ centered to help develop a greater knowledge and understanding of who God is. The first half of the class will focus on reading speed, vocabulary, grammar fundamentals and comprehension. We will then learn to write and rewrite to develop writing styles that are essential to effective written communication in preparation for high levels of education.    Curriculum: "Themes in Literature" 3rd edition, A Beka Book "Left Behind: The Kids," Tim LaHaye, Jerry B Jenkins
